Extraordinary monumental scale table lamp with wonderfully textured surfaces by Conny Walther (b. 1931), perfect for a beach or alpine interior, having a cylindrical form with relief bubble-like motifs in a pale gray and white glazes on top and a rock-like texture with matte brown glaze on bottom; Denmark, 1960s-1970s; impressed artist mark “CW” / #CWA104

An acclaimed ceramist, Walther worked at Saxbo and Kahler, and studied at the Kunsthåndværkerskolen in Copenhagen, before opening her own studio in Birkerod in the 1950s.
