Desk with chair in teak by Ole Wanscher

Desk with chair designed by Ole Wanscher (1903-1985) for Magasin du Nord, Copenhagen c. 1941. The desk features a subtle angle to the top surface, two drawers facing the sitter with another on the opposite side, wonderfully crafted with Wanscher’s trademark details of considered modeling and proportions, in teak with inner drawers in oak, accompanied by a sculptural chair with organically modeled form (c.f.: Nyt tidsskrift for Kunstindustri 1941 pg. 166)
