Axel Einar Hjorth

“Lovö” series cabinet / sideboard designed by Axel Einar Hjorth (1888-1959) for Nordiska Kompaniet, having two paneled doors opening to shelf storage, with chamfered corners and decoratively silhouetted apron, crafted in solid cuts of pine, Sweden, 1930s. A modern take on Swedish vernacular, the series rationalized the forms of traditional furniture types in unpainted pine.
